Errors Cost Redhawks in Road Loss at Daemen

AMHERST, NY – The Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Volleyball team suffered a 3-1 loss to Daemen University Wednesday night after committing more than 20 attack errors and a similar number of service errors.

The Redhawks (5-5) fell to the Wildcats (3-2) in a non-conference road matchup after dropping the first two sets 25-15 and 25-23. Roberts rebounded for a tight 27-25 win in the third set but the Wildcats opened up a large lead in the fourth set and went on to post a 25-15 win to clinch the match.

Sophomore Griffin Monrad led the Roberts offense with 11 kills while freshman Ryan DeJohn added seven kills and seven digs. Junior Moises Jimenez led the defense with 11 digs while freshman Landon Brouwer recorded 18 assists and six digs.

Roberts returns to action Friday night at home against Rockhurst Univerity with a 5 p.m. match in the Voller Athletic Center.
