FLUSHING, N.Y. – Malik Brooks made a game-tying three-pointer with 10.9 seconds to play in the second half but Queens College made a late free throw by Omar Nkonde to defeat the visiting Redhawks, 73-72, in an East Coast Conference men's basketball game on Friday.
Roberts (8-13, 5-6 ECC) took a 10-point lead on a layup by Brooks with 6:49 to play, but the Knights used an 11-0 run to get back into the game.
Brooks led the Redhawks with 30 points, including 19 in the second half, and eight rebounds
Arnardo Camacho added 12 points and seven rebounds while
Jermaine Taggart II and
Nasir Hammonds each scored 10.
Roberts will play at Molloy at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
