ROCHESTER, NY – A youthful squad from Roberts Wesleyan University put up a good fight but eventually fell in the first League of Legends match of the season to Utica University.
The Pioneers – with more than 2000 hours of game play combined compared to just 200 hours for the Redhawks - proved to be the better squad in the season opener.
One of the strongest performances was from rookie Landon "Cute Factor" Sittig. He went against his lane opponent with confidence and played his game.
"Our team learned what it looks like to play at a high level and will continue to grow as a team," said Head Coach Aaron Stiles.
The Redhawks return to League of Legends action February 14 against Farmingdale State.
