ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team jumped out to a fast start in its East Coast Conference opener on Saturday afternoon at Redhawks Field.
Junior 
Isaac Marrero won the opening face-off and scored just seven seconds into the game as the Redhawks rolled to a 23-3 victory over the University of the District of Columbia.
The goal highlighted a dominant performance by Marrero at the face-off X as he went 20-for-20 and scooped 16 groundballs as Roberts (4-3) won its third straight game.
Senior 
Gunner MacMillan led Roberts with six points, contributing three goals and three assists. 
Jacob Zimmerman and 
Cody Coleman also finished with three goals as 14 different players scored for the Redhawks.
Freshmen 
Chase Wilson and 
John Orsborne and junior 
Sean Levey each scored twice while 
Ryan Brown, 
Killian Ceci, 
Tyler Clark, 
Ethan Brown, 
Curtis Denison and 
Brady Kustra also scored.
Ryan Brown also added three assists for Roberts, which led 8-1 after the first quarter.
The Redhawks controlled possession, going 26-for-30 on face-offs, and held a 53-26 advantage in shots.
Junior 
Garrett Kayser and freshman 
Landon Brimmer split time in goal for Roberts. Brimmer stopped six shots in the second half.  
The Redhawks return to action next Saturday, March 22, for an ECC game at Saint Thomas Aquinas College.
