ROCHESTER, NY – The Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Basketball team battled to a fourth-place finish in the final East Coast Conference (ECC) standings and will host a First-Round matchup at 7 p.m. Wednesday night against No. 5 seed College of Staten Island.
Tickets for the game will be $5 for children/Seniors/students and $10 for adults – NO SEASON PASSES will be honored for the ECC Tournament games. Tickets are available for purchase at https://eccsports.org/sports/2023/10/30/tickets.aspx
The first 100 Roberts Wesleyan students (with ID) will be granted free admission.
Roberts finished the season with a 10-16 overall record and 7-9 in ECC play. Staten Island finished the regular season at 11-17 and also had a 7-9 record with the Redhawks earning the home game through the tie-breaker procedures.
The winner of Wednesday's game will advance to the ECC Tournament semifinal to face Daemen University at 5 p.m. March 8 in Amherst, NY.
The teams split the regular-season series with Roberts winning a thrilling 93-90 victory at home January 15 as sophomore Keonjay Carter hitting the game-winning 3-pointer with less than three second remaining in the game.
Graduate student Malik Brooks leads Roberts as he averages 21.9 points per game and junior Arnardo Camacho leads the team in rebounding with 8.3 per contest.
