ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Four members of the Roberts Wesleyan University track and field program have qualified for the NCAA Division II National Championships March 13-15 in Indianapolis.
Graduate student
Brynn King, the defending national champion, sophomore
Sarah Ferguson and freshman
Austin Melvin will represent the Redhawks in the pole vault while sophomore
Jadyn Mullen has qualified in the pentathlon.
King, the NCAA Division II record-holder (4.65 meters, 15-feet, 3-inches) and Ferguson, a transfer from the University of Washington, will compete at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 13.
Mullen, a transfer from Penn State University, will also compete on Thursday.
Melvin, a freshman from Central Square, N.Y., will compete at 2:35 p.m. on March 15.
King, Mullen and Melvin all own school records in the events that they will be competing in.
