COLONIA, NJ – Sophomore Austin Melvin and graduate student Jackson Doran earned the East Coast Conference (ECC) top awards for Men's Track and Field as the Field Athlete of the Year and the Track Athlete of the Year respectively for the 2026 season.

Melvin won the ECC Outdoor Track and Field Championships pole vault title as he cleared 5.02 meters (16'5 ½") earning First Team All-ECC honors. He went on to earn First Team All-Region honors and advanced to the NCAA Championships where he earned another All-American award with his seventh-place finish and a school-record height of 5.26 meters (17' 3").

Doran won the 800-meter title at the ECC Championships in April with a time of 1:56.94 after winning both the 800-meter and Mile titles at the Indoor championships with times of 1:54.70 and 4:20.92 respectively.
