ROCHESTER, NY – Sophomores Trevor Heitkamp and Jordan Bryner headlined a group of five student-athletes from the Roberts Wesleyan University Track and Field and Cross Country teams that were recently honored by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization and were selected as members of the Academic All-District team. . The All-District award winners are eligible for Academic All-American consideration.

Heitkamp and Bryner were joined by fellow sophomores Chase McFadden, Charles Matzke and Diego Arellano Jasso with the All-District honors.

Heitkamp earned First Team All-East Coast Conference (ECC) with a second-place finish at the cross country championships and he added an All-Region award during the fall season. He was ranked sixth in the East Region in the 3K event for indoor track and field and was second in the 5K and ninth in the 1500 meters during the outdoor season.

Bryner was second in the pole vault events in both the indoor and outdoor seasons at the ECC Championships and was ranked first in the outdoor season in the East Region and second in the indoor season.

McFadden was ranked sixth in the East Region in both the indoor and outdoor seasons for pole vault.

Arellano Jasso ranked fourth in the decathlon and fifth in the heptathlon in the region and ranked in the top-20 in several of the individual events.

Matzke was ninth in the ECC Championships for cross country and won the 3K steeplechase event at the ECC Outdoor championships. He was sixth in the region in the 5K event and 11th in the steeplechase event in the East Region.

Award winners were required to maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average and also rank in the top-50 in at least one event in the region.
