CALDWELL, N.J. – Freshman
Chase Wilson and senior
Gunner MacMillan each accounted for six points as the Roberts Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team rolled to a 23-4 non-conference win over Caldwell on Saturday.
Wilson scored five goals and added an assist and MacMillan contributed four goals and two assists as the Redhawks (3-3) earned their second consecutive victory.
Senior midfielder
Jacob Zimmerman finished with two goals and two assists while
Tyler Clark added three points with a goal and an assist and
Curtis Denison scored twice.
Colton Ugine contributed one goal and two assists and
Ryan Brown and
Cody Coleman both added a goal and an assist.
Brady Kustra,
Justin Skelly,
Brady Alexander,
Connor Slinsky and
Killian Ceci also had goals as 13 Redhawks scored.
Junior
Isaac Marrero won 17 of 23 face-offs and led Roberts with 11 ground balls. The Redhawks gathered 55 ground balls in the game and forced 27 Caldwell turnovers.
Roberts returns home to open East Coast Conference play against the University of the District of Columbia at noon on Saturday, March 15.
