Men’s Lacrosse Earns a Trio of District Academic Honors

GREENWOOD, IN – Sam Keens, Garrett Kayser and Curtis Denison from the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Lacrosse team garnered academic honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization with selection as Academic All-District honorees and are now eligible for Academic All-America honors.

The requirements for Academic All-District honors are at least a sophomore academically and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average as well as have considerable contribution to the team success for the most recent season. The organization honors several thousand student-athletes each year from each NCAA Division and the NAIA as honorees are nominated by the members of the organization previously known as CoSIDA.

Keens and Kayser led the Roberts defense as Keens, who was a Roberts Scholar-Athlete of the month, accounted for 13 caused turnovers and Kayser recorded 121 saves. Denison was among the team scoring leaders with 11 goals and eight assists for 19 points.

The Redhawks advanced to the East Coast Conference (ECC) Tournament for the sixth consecutive season with a 6-98 overall record and a 3-3 mark in ECC play.
