Redhawks Blank Pace To Remain Unbeaten

ROCHESTER, N.Y – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's soccer team remained unbeaten with a 2-0 victory over visiting Pace in a non-conference match on Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore Mackenzie Hagen opened the scoring just 2:14 into the contest. Hagen ran down a long pass from Kara Choate and her shot from 18 yards out went inside the near post for her third goal of the season. Hagen has scored a goal in each of the Redhawks' (2-0-1) matches this season.

The Redhawks doubled their lead in the 32nd minute when junior Nevaeh Bunch converted a cross originated by Cami Brescia. Bunch's left-footed shot went into the top corner of the net.

Sophomore Mia Tyndell made six saves while notching her third career shutout and first of the season.

The Redhawks will travel to Gannon University for a non-conference match at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.
