Redhawks Roll Past D'Youville On Senior Day

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's soccer team started quickly and rolled to a 4-0 victory over D'Youville University in an ECC match on Senior Day Saturday afternoon.

Senior Kara Choate got the Redhawks (4-2-1, 2-0-0 ECC) started with a shot from the top of the box 6:30 into the game. Mackenzie Hagen assisted on Choate's team-leading fourth goal of the season.

Junior Nevaeh Bunch gave Roberts a 2-0 lead with her second goal of the season in the 32nd minute.

Senior Alyssa Hackett scored in the 52nd minute for Roberts and junior Jenna Northup closed out the scoring in the 79th minute.

Roberts outshot D'Youville 21-5. Mia Tindell and Rebecca Hoffman shared the goalkeeping duties for the Redhawks.

Hackett, Choate and fellow seniors Kaeleigh Romero, Cami Brescia, Emma Taylor, Alena Weibel, Larissa Johnson and Ella White were honored in a pregame ceremony.

The Redhawks will host Daemen in an ECC match at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
