CLARION, PA – Junior Camryn Karelus led the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team with 15 kills over the final two matches of the weekend at the Tony Banner Memorial Tournament hosted by Clarion University.
Her 15 kills Saturday, combined with the 28 kills from the first two matches of the tournament earned Karelus a spot on the All-Tournament team.
On Saturday, the Redhawks dropped a pair of 3-0 decisions as American International College by scores of 25-15, 25-6 and 25-18. In the tournament finale, Roberts fell to host Clarion by scores of 25-11, 25-22 and 25-19.
Karelus had 15 kills including nine in the AIC match and added six digs in the match as well. Fellow junior Julia Dufková had 10 digs against Clarion and freshman Sierra George added five assists and five digs against AIC and finished with eight assists against Clarion. Classmate Ryan Hull handed out eight assists in the AIC match.
Roberts will face another four opponents next weekend in West Virginia at the University of Charleston/West Virginia State University Crossover Tournament. The Redhawks will play West Virginia State and Park Point University Friday and face Glenville State University and University of Charleston Saturday.
