ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team welcomes four new student-athletes for the 2026 season.
Each of the newcomers is a graduate of a Section V high school and two players – goalie
Josella Harrison and attack
Brooke Guelli – were teammates at Webster Schroeder.
First-year coach
Ellen Newton has been impressed by what the first-year players have shown in the preseason.
"Their work ethic is right where it should be, so that's exciting to see," said Newton, who was hired in December. "Our freshmen are going to play, and they're going to play a lot. I like the intensity that they bring. They're in here all the time doing extra work on their own, which is really cool to see. I think that is great and I think it shows that the seniors and the captains from the fall did a good job of bringing them along."
Roberts opens its season on Feb. 18 at American International College.
