ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University cruised to a Senior Day sweep of American International College on Saturday afternoon in the Voller Athletic Center.
The Redhawks, who won by scores of 25-15, 25-15 and 25-20, celebrated seniors
Michael Cummings,
Noah Liousfi and
Moises Jimenez in a pre-match ceremony.
Jimenez paced the Redhawks (17-10, 4-1 ECC) with eight digs while Liousfi contributed six kills and two blocks and Cummings added an ace.
Ryan DeJohn led Roberts with 12 kills while
Jayce Moore added seven kills and seven digs.
Landon Brouwer set for 19 assists and
Andrew Howe contributed 15.
Paul Fillion served four aces.
The Redhawks will close out the regular season against Saint Thomas Aquinas College at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18. The teams are tied for first place in the conference and the winner will earn the right to host the ECC Championship semifinals and finals on April 24 and 25.
