COLONIA, NJ – Graduate student Allison Clahane, senior Ella Dossier and sophomore Lia MacDougall from the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Lacrosse team were honored Thursday with selection to the All-Conference squad as First Team selection by the East Coast Conference (ECC). The trio were joined by senior Kadie Tierney and junior Alison Dioguardi who were named Second Team honorees.
The players led the Redhawks to the No. 2 seed in the ECC Championship Tournament and the team plays top-seed Mercy Saturday for the ECC Championship title.
Four of the five honorees were repeat selections as Tierney was a First Team selection last year while Clahane, Dossier and Dioguardi were Second Team honorees a year ago.
Clahane led the stingy Roberts defense with 39 caused turnovers and was second on the team with 40 ground balls. Dossier and MacDougall led the offense as the senior had 68 points and a team-leading 56 assists while eclipsing the 200-career point milestone late in the season. MacDougall led the squad with 69 points with 62 goals and added a team-leading 47 ground balls with 36 caused turnovers and 29 draw controls.
Dioguardi was the team leader with 91 draw controls and added 41 points on 27 goals and 14 assists. Tierney finished third in scoring with 59 points on 41 goals and 18 assists while chipping in 20 ground balls and 16 draw controls.
