ROCHESTER, NY – At the conclusion of the East Coast Conference (ECC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Roberts Wesleyan April 30, there were 21 members of the Men's Track and Field team that earned All-ECC honors including six that earned ECC Event Championship titles.
Graduate student Jackson Doran was the ECC Champion in the 800 meter race and sophomore Charles Matzke was the champion in the 3K Steeple Chase. Sophomore Calvin Lill who also won and ECC title as a member of the Men's Volleyball team, won the High Jump title, sophomore Austin Melvin repeated as ECC Champion in the Pole Vault while sophomore Owen Callahan won the Hammer Thrown and senior Ethan LaClair won the Javelin Throw for Roberts.
Each champion earned First Team All-ECC honors and they were joined by sophomore Jakob Zibbel (1500 meters), junior Vincent Ciraolo (5K), sophomore Owen Tarolli (3K Steeple Chase), sophomore Diego Arellano Jasso (High Jump), sophomore Jordan Bryner (Pole Vault) and freshman William Miller (Discus Throw) with First Team honors.
Miller added a Second Team selection in the Hammer Throw and Callahan was a Second Team honoree in the Shot Put. Senior Micah Cornfield earned Second Team honors in the 400 meters while freshman Roman Smith was Second Team in the 800 meters, freshman Joel Amstutz was Second Team in the 1500 meters, freshman Braden Fears was Second Team in the 5K and sophomore Caleb Price earned Second Team honors in the 10K race.
Arellano Jasso added a Second Team award in the 110 meter Hurdles and sophomore Hunter Himebaugh was a Second Team honoree in the Steeple Chase.
Matzke, Amstutz, Zibbel and sophomore Travor Heitkamp picked up a Second Team award in the 4x800 Relay while freshmen
Noah Leathersich and
Luke Martinez were both Second Team honorees in the Pole Vault.
