COLONIA, NJ – Sophomore Karis Kraf won the East Coast Conference (ECC) Indoor Track and Field Championship title in the pole vault and finished second in the conference at the outdoor championships and was honored by the conference as the Female Field Athlete of the Year in voting from the head coaches in the ECC.
Kraf won the indoor title with a mark of 3.93 meters (12' 10 ¾") and placed second at the outdoor championships as she cleared the 4.01-meter (13' 1 ¾"). She capped the year with an impressive second-place finish at the Division II Championship meet in Kansas with a personal best mark of 4.15 meters (13' 7 ¼").
The sophomore from Tampa, Florida was named the ECC Field Athlete of the Week twice, First Team All-ECC for both Indoor and Outdoor as well as All-Region in both seasons to go along with her two First Team All-American awards.
