ROCHESTER, NY – Junior Jadyn Mullen led a group of five student-athletes from the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Track and Field ad Cross Country teams to Academic All-District awards from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization. The All-District award winners are eligible for Academic All-American consideration.
Joining Mullen with the Academic All-District awards were sophomore Paige Reeser, junior Jessica Montemorano, sophomore Zoe Maupin and junior Melia Couchman.
Mullen was an NCAA Qualifier in both the high jump and pentathlon for the Redhawks but was unable to compete due to injury. She was an All-Region selection in the high jump, pentathlon and long jump and won the East Coast Conference (ECC) title in the high jump and was second in the shot put.
Reeser was a First Team All-ECC honoree in the 1500 and 4x800 relay at the outdoor championship and was a First-Team selection in the mile and 3K events at the indoor championships. In addition, she was an All-Region selection and First Team All-ECC honoree in cross country.
Counchman was ranked third in the pole vault in the East Region during both the indoor and outdoor seasons and was also third in the event at both the indoor and outdoor ECC Championships.
Maupin ranked among the top-30 in the East Region in four events with the mile and 3K indoors and the 1500 and 5K outdoors and finished in the top 10 in three events at the ECC Championships including a fifth-place finish in the indoor mile and outdoor 5K events.
Montemorano, who also earned the ECC Community Service annual award, ranked 14th in the East Region in the 3K Steeplechase during the outdoor season and was fifth at the ECC Championships in the same event.
Award winners were required to maintain at least a 3.50 grade point average and also rank in the top-50 in at least one event in the region.
