SLIPPERY ROCK, PA – Sophomore Rachel Dixon knocked down a team-leading seven kills Friday night as the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Bloomsburg University to open the Slippery Rock Invitational in Pennsylvania.
The Redhawks fell by scores of 26-24, 25-20 and 25-22.
Dixon finished with seven kills and just one attack error and a .500 attack percentage for Roberts.
Fellow sophomore Ryan Hull led the team with 22 assists while sophomore Tiana Copp and senior Julia Dufkova led the squad with eight digs each. Senior Camryn Karelus finished with five kills, six digs and a team-high three aces.
Roberts continues play in the tournament with matches against Slippery Rock and Frostburg State University Saturday.
