LODI, NJ – Another goal by junior Sam Cipolla and a late goal by fellow junior Gracie Groome gave the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Soccer team its second consecutive win with a 2-1 victory at Felician University. The win extended the unbeaten streak to 14 games for the Redhawks.
Cipolla recorded her team-leading third goal of the season 18 minutes into the game to give Roberts (2-0-1) an early lead. The goal game with an assist to senior Jenna Northup.
Late in the second half, Groome made her first appearance for the Redhawks after a preseason injury kept har out of the first two game and scored the second goal of the game in the 78th minute with an assist from freshman Lauren Schmeelk.
Felician (1-2-0) avoided the shutout with a goal six minutes later but the Redhawks held on for the win.
The unbeaten streak for Roberts dates back to Oct. 1 of 2025.
Sophomore Mia Tyndell earned the win with a pair of saves to her credit.
The Redhawks return to action with a pair of home games over the weekend starting Friday afternoon with a 4 p.m. contest against Tiffin University and a 1 p.m. game Sunday against Lake Erie College. Both games will be played at Roberts Stadium.
