ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Camryn Karelus recorded a pair of double-doubles Saturday as the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team ended the weekend with a win to cap the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational on a 3-1 victory over Redeemer University at the Voller Athletic Center.
Karelus finished the weekend with 10 kills and 11 digs against Redeemer after leading the Redhawks (2-5) with 13 kills and 15 digs against Georgian Court.
The Redhawks dropped a 3-1 decision to Georgian Court in the morning match by set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 26-24 and 25-17 but rebounded to post a 3-1 win over Redeemer by set scores of 25-20, 21-25, 25-19 and 25-21).
Karelus led the Redhawks with 23 kills and 26 digs on the day while freshman Alyssa Snary added 18 kills with an efficient .451 attack percentage. Sophomore Ryan Hull led the way with 55 assists including 40 in the win over Redeemer and freshman Emerson Ramsdale finished with 18 digs with nine in each match. Sophomore Tiana Copp had 17 kills and 20 digs on Saturday.
Roberts will face Bloomsburg, Slippery Rock and Frostburg State next weekend at the Slippery Rock Tournament.
