It started bad in Canton, Ohio on Tuesday night and got worse as the night went on. Roberts was no match for #1 Walsh as the Cavaliers defeated the Raiders 91-56 in an American Mideast Conference league game. The Raiders hung around until halftime trailing by only 11 points even though they had scored 22 points in the first twenty minutes. The second half was dominated by Walsh and the Cavs easily won going away.
Justin Andreozzi was Roberts' most effective player scoring 18 points and securing 5 rebounds. Alif Bland and Dan Foley both chipped in 12 points. Leading scorer, Jordan Heath, went down with a sprained ankle in the first three minutes of the game and did not return.
Walsh had six players score in double digits and held the Raiders to 30 % shooting for the game. All-American point guard, Jeremy Shardo, led the Cavaliers with 17 points. Walsh improves their record to 14-0 while the Raiders fall to 7-8.
The Raiders are back in Canton on Saturday to take on another top 25 team in Malone University.
