Michael Cunningham Named to ECC All-Conference Second Team

The senior forward recorded 10 goals and eight assists this season for the Redhawks

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Nov. 10, 2014) – Senior forward Michael Cunningham has been named to the East Coast Conference Men's Soccer All-Conference Second Team.

Cunningham put together a memorable season campaign for Roberts Wesleyan in 2014 as he led the team with 28 points (10 goals, 8 assists) in 18 games.

The forward posted career-highs this season in goals (10), assists (8), points (28), shots (64), and shots and goal (34).  Cunningham also earned two game-winning goals and converted both of his penalty kick opportunities.

Over his four-year career, Cunningham has appeared in 73 games while compiling 72 points (28 goals, 16 assists) for Roberts Wesleyan.

Other award winners that were announced include LIU Post's Eivind Austboe, who was crowned the Offensive Player of the Year as NYIT's Gonzalo Barroso was named Defensive Player of the Year. Carlos Del Cid of NYIT was named Coach of the Year after guiding the Bears to the regular season title as well winning the ECC Championship tournament.
