WASHINGTON, D.C. (Dec. 18, 2014) – Roberts Wesleyan is looking to get back into the win column as they are set to take on the Firebirds in their first conference road game of the season.

Last season, the Redhawks swept the season series against District of Columbia. They downed the Firebirds 84-52 at home before picking up a 76-62 win on the road later in the season. In fact, Roberts Wesleyan is a perfect 4-0 all-time against the Firebirds.

SCOUTING DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (2-8, 2-0 ECC)After starting out the season with eight consecutive losses, the Firebirds have started out conference play with a pair of wins. On Dec. 10, District of Columbia downed NYIT 92-85 before edging LIU Post 94-91 three days later. Both were home games for the Firebirds.

As a team, District of Columbia is averaging 76.8 points per game, which places them third in the ECC. Only Daemen (81.8) and NYIT (81.6) average more points.

Three players are scoring in double-digits thus far as freshman guard Kory Cooley leads the team with 17.6 points per game. Seniors Michael Terry (14.0) and Quasim Jones (11.3) rank second and third respectively.

On the boards, junior forward Geran Pope leads the team with 6.5 rebounds per game. As a team, the Firebirds come into Friday's game holding a -4.9 rebounding margin.

SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (5-3, 1-1 ECC)The Redhawks, who fell to Molloy by just five points at home last Saturday, will play in their first true road game of the season against District of Coumbia. Roberts Wesleyan has played in five neutral site games this season.

th out of 11 teams in the ECC, the Redhawks are shooting 45.1% from the field and puts them third-best in the conference.

Tyrel Dixon lead the team in scoring through eight games. Medeiros has 15.8 points per game while Dixon is right behind with 15.0 points per game. Joining the forwards in double-digits is junior guard
