LIVERPOOL, N.Y. (February 20, 2015) – Senior 
Emanuel Rauchle and Juniors 
Charles Farres and 
Robert Beer led the Redhawks to a hard fought victory over LeMoyne. Rauchle and Farres were double winners, taking second doubles as well as their singles matches. 
 
LeMoyne took the early lead when James Gayvert and Jason Barton defeated Roberts Wesleyan's 
Robert Beer and 
Jacob Paul 8-5 at first doubles. Guiherme Plentz de Liz and 
Rene Torti evened the match with a win at third doubles by the same 8-5 score over Stephane Legris and Steven Procopio.  Farres and Rauchle then gave the Redhawks the lead for good with an exciting win at second doubles, winning 9-7 in a tiebreaker.
 
In singles action, Beer won at second singles 6-3, 6-2 over Jason Barton, and Farres followed with a three set win over Gayvert at first singles. Rauchle then sealed the win with a three setter over Hallam Doney, 3-6, 7-6(5) and 6-1.  Rauchle saved three match points before winning the match.  LeMoyne took hard fought wins at fourth and fifth singles, before freshman 
Dustin Eshleman closed out the scoring with a win at sixth singles.
 
"This was a tough match against a quality opponent," said head coach 
Tom Linhart. "I am very proud of our effort and focus. The veterans on the team showed their experience and poise under pressure, and this will help us as we move toward conference play.  
Dustin Eshleman is showing nice progress and has played well in his last few matches.  I look for the freshman to continue to mature and contribute."
 
The Redhawks improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in East Region action.  They continue to hold the No. 4 spot in the most recent ITA East Region poll.
 
The team is off until March 2 and 3  when they travel to Erie, Pa. to take on Lake Superior State (Mich.) and Mercyhurst.
