Men's Tennis Soars Past RIT

Roberts Wesleyan edged the Tigers at the Gordon Field House, 6-2

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (March 18, 2015) – Emmanuel Rauchle tied the program record for wins as Roberts Wesleyan earned a 6-2 win at the Rochester Institute of Technology this evening.

Rauchle, who ties Julio Toledo for the most win in program history, teamed up with Rene Torti at third doubles to pick up a narrow 9-8 win over the Tigers' Amos Baptiste and Jason Alexander.

The deciding point came at fourth singles when Rene Torti downed Alexander 6-0, 6-2.

Charles Farres and Robert Beer were double winners as they each won at singles after taking down Kevin Layer and Jared Ingoglia at first doubles, 8-2.

Roberts Wesleyan improved to 7-4 with the win as they prepare to open up East Coast Conference action March 28 at the District of Columbia.
