WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 28, 2015) –
Charles Farres continued his winning ways with a pair of wins despite Roberts Wesleyan falling to District of Columbia, 6-3.
Farres edged the Firebirds' Simon Andersson at first singles 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 after teaming up with
Robert Beer at first doubles to win 8-5 against Alexis Baguelin and Andersson.
On the year, Farres is 8-3 in singles play while holding an 8-4 mark in doubles.
The third point for the Redhawks came at second doubles with
Guilherme Plentz de Liz and
Dustin Eshleman defeating Rok Bozic and Marco Feligioni, 8-6.
Several of the singles matches were tightly played as Baguelin narrowly defeated
Emanuel Rauchle 7-6, 7-5 at third singles. At fifth singles, District of Columbia's Ander Murillo edged Plentz de Liz, 6-4, 6-4.
The loss puts Roberts Wesleyan at 0-1 to start East Coast Conference play while putting them at 7-5 overall. The Redhawks are back in action this weekend when they host St. Thomas
Aquinas on Friday before entertaining Queens on Saturday.
