Philadelphia, P.A. - The Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis team lost its first match of the fall season on Sunday falling to Philadelphia University 6-3.
The team of
Hugo Ball-Greene and
Jose Carrillo won at No.1 doubles for the Redhawks, winning 8-5.Â
Ball-Greene also won in No.1 singles, defeating Luis Molina Megias 4-6, 7-6, 6-0 to make him the lone double winner for Roberts Wesleyan on the day. The Paris, France native has won ten straight singles matches at the No.1 spot and is on pace to catch the Redhawk record of 14 straight wins in the No. 1 spot currently held by
Charles Farres and Jordan Sadowitz.Â
Dennis Barlotta was the other winner for the Redhawks, defeating Dan Trifoi at No. 3 singles 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.Â
The match closed out the fall season for Roberts Wesleyan leaving them with an impressive 8-1 overall record. The team will jump back into action on February 4, 2017 when they are slated to play West Virginia Wesleyan College.Â
