BRADENTON, Fla. – Junior thrower Malcolm Shaw placed 15th in the javelin as Roberts Wesleyan wrapped up their portion of the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday.

Shaw, who was making his first NCAA appearance, threw 60.13m on his third and final attempt as he took 15th place out of 18 competitors in the event.

The distance was third best in the Roberts Wesleyan record book as Shaw holds the top three marks in program history. He is also the only person in the program to ever throw past 60m, which includes his record-setting distance of 63.59m.

On Friday, women's sprinter Chelsea Hayward recorded the program's third fastest time in the 200m as she crossed the finish line with a time of 24.75 finishing 20th overall. Like Shaw, she also holds the fastest three times in the event in the program record book.
