The Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis team defeated Kutztown University and University of the Sciences this weekend as the team continues its win streak to stay undefeated on the season.
Roberts Wesleyan vs. Kutztown University
On Saturday, the Redhawks were led by
Hugo Ball-Greene and
Jose Carrillo to win at Kutztown University 6-3. Ball-Greene and Carrillo teamed up to win a closely contested match in No. 1 doubles against Joan Oliver Perez and Martin Munoz, 9-8. Ball-Greene also won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-4 while Carrillo was also a double winner, winning his No. 5 singles match, 6-1, 6-4.
Freshman
Paul Langbroek continues to be undefeated in singles competition as he defeated Gabriel Nogara Souza in No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1.
"I'm very happy with how we've melded together as a team and how we are playing together as a team," head coach
Tom Linhart said.

On Sunday, Roberts Wesleyan narrowly defeated University of the Sciences, 5-4.

Guilherme Plentz de Liz defeated Chandat Phan, 6-2, 6-2 to clinch the match win for the Redhawks.
Ball-Green continued his impressive performance winning at No. 1 doubles with Carrillo, 8-6 and also defeating regionally ranked player, Jake Sosonkin in No. 1 singles, 7-6, 6-1.
Langbroek was also a double match winner on the day continuing his undefeated singles streak by winning in No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-2. Langbroek and Matthew Cruz won at No. 3 doubles, 8-5.
"We won two matches (this weekend) in blistering heat," Linhart said. "The weather was a significant factor. The kids responded really well to the heat and played hard."
