Houghton, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis team ran its record to 10-4 on the season with an 8-1 victory over Houghton College on Wednesday.
 
In a match where the singles were played first, the Redhawks got come from behind victories from freshman 
Paul Langbroek at first singles and 
Dennis Barlotta at second singles. Langbroek opened the scoring with a 4-4, 6-4, 6-0 victory over Zach Shilvack, while Barlotta defeated Jordan Crouch 4-6, 6-3, 6-1.  The Highlanders closed the gap with a victory at third singles by Michael Cha.  However, the Redhawks' 
Jose Carrillo, Matthew Cruz and 
Dustin Eshleman clashed out the singles matches with straight set victories.
 
The Redhawks also swept the three doubles matches to close out the victory. Junior 
Hugo Ball-Greene and Barlotta defeated Crouch and Shilvock 8-7(2) at first doubles. Carrillo and Langbroek followed with an 8-2 win at third doubles and Eshleman and and Cruz capped off the match with an 8-1 win at third doubles.
 
The 10-4 Redhawks travel to New Jersey on Saturday to take on Bloomfield University.
