FLUSHING, N.Y. - The Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis team fell 6-3 to in a tough match played at Queens College on Friday. The Bears are ranked No. 1 in the East Region and No. 32 in the country.
 
The Redhawks opened the scoring by winning two of the doubles points. At first doubles, junior 
Hugo Ball-Greene and freshman 
Dennis Barlotta defeated David Jiang and Maxton Cook 8-6.  At third doubles, junior 
Jose Carrillo and freshman 
Paul Langbroek defeated Alex Martinez and Francisco Caldas 9-8(7). NYIT took the second doubles point by an 8-3 score.
 
In singles, the Redhawks managed to win at second doubles where Langbroek defeated David Jiang, the No. 15 ranked player in the East Region, in a three setter, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. 
 
In a battle of top ten East Region players, No. 1 ranked Rafa Charkiewicz defeated Roberts' No. 8 ranked 
Hugo Ball-Greene by a 6-2, 6-2 score.
 
Langbroek became the first player in Roberts' history to be a double winner against NYIT.
 
The 11-9 Redhawks hit the road again to play an East Coast Conference match against UDC in Washington, D.C. before traveling to New Jersey for a match against Caldwell University.
