Jose Carrillo and freshman standout
Paul Langbroek were each doubles winners as the Roberts Wesleyan men's tennis team defeated Caldwell University, 7-2 in a non-conference match on Saturday. The Caldwell points came at first singles and first doubles.

In doubles, Plentz de Liz and junior
Dustin Eshleman won at the second spot 8-4 over Ferdinand Schnitzer and Yuvraj Bain. Carrillo and Langbroek won 8-0 at third doubles to give the Redhawks a 2-1 lead heading into singles play.

Three freshmen, Matthew Cruz,
Dennis Barlotta and Langbroek each won to secure the win. Cruz won 6-1, 6-0 at sixth singles, Barlotta won 6-1, 6-2 at third singles and Langbroek sealed the victory with a marathon 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 win over Lukas Lemke. Plentz de Liz won in straight sets at fourth singles and Carrillo closed out the day with a 6-7(5), 6-0, 10-7 win at fifth singles.

The 12-10 Redhawks return to conference play when they host Daemen College on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
