ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Senior
Emily Tomei was named a second-team Division II All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine and five Roberts Wesleyan College women's lacrosse players, including Tomei, received All-Region honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association.
Tomei, a midfielder from Webster, N.Y., led Roberts with 51 goals this season. Tomei, the East Coast Conference Midfielder of the Year, also added 14 assists and 62 draw controls for the Redhawks (14-2), who advanced to the national semifinals. Her 65 points ranked third on the team.
Senior attack
Lindsey Brinkel joins Tomei on the IWLCA East Region first team. Brinkel, the ECC Attacker of the Year, led Roberts in scoring with 91 points on 34 goals and 57 assists. She ranked among the nation's leaders in both assists and assists per game (3.56). The Aquinas Institute graduate averaged 5.69 points per game.

Madilynn Walsh were named second-team All-Region.
Bell registered 47 goals and 37 assists for the NCAA East Region champions. The Webster, N.Y., resident ranked in the Top 10 in the country with 84. She averaged 5.25 points per game and led the Redhawks with four game-winning goals.
Giancursio, a Penfield, N.Y. resident, ranked first in the East Coast Conference in draw controls with 81. She paced the Redhawks in ground balls with 44 and finished with 30 points on 17 goals and 13 assists this season.
Walsh helped anchor a Roberts defense that allowed just 8.3 goals per game. Playing mostly at the top of Roberts' zone, Walsh scored one goal, caused 24 turnovers and scooped 33 ground balls this season.
The IWLCA selected 128 student-athletes to its All-Region teams. They are now eligible to be named to a national IWLCA All-American team. The IWLCA will announce its All-American teams and Player of the Year in June.
Roberts set a program record for wins this season while reaching the NCAA Division II Final Four for the first time.
