ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan College women's lacrosse player Madelyn Robinson has been named the East Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week for Week Six of the 2022 season.
Robinson, a sophomore defender from Lancaster, N.Y., turned in a tenacious effort in a 20-7 win over Saint Thomas Aquinas College on Sunday, causing five turnovers and scooping four ground balls.
Robinson has caused a team-high 27 turnovers this season and ranks third on the team in ground balls with 18. She is tied for fifth in NCAA Division II with an average of 3.0 caused turnovers per game.
The Redhawks (6-3, 2-0 ECC) return to action at noon on Saturday for a road game at Molloy College.
