ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan University diver
Emma Dicob is going back to nationals.
Dicob, a junior, punched her ticket to Indianapolis with an NCAA Division II qualifying score of 265.4 in the 3-meter dive during Saturday's 168-113 loss to Edinboro in a dual meet at the Voller Athletic Center.
Dicob, who also won the 1-meter diving (247.4), also qualified for NCAAs last season. Roberts teammate
Sidney Simmons finished second in the 1-meter event with a score of 247.05.
Senior
Mya Webb set school and pool records in the 500-yard freestyle (5:28.04) and won the 200 freestyle (1:59.52). Freshman
Ruby Flanigen set a school record in the 50 breaststroke (:34.35) while finishing second.
"I am so proud of how this team performed today," Roberts head coach
Sara Smith said. "We had so many in-season best times, school, and pool records. And this is coming off a hard week of training. We also saw so much progress and growth in comparison to our meet against Edinboro last year. We're excited to get back to training to prepare for our mid-season conference meet."
The Redhawks will compete in the ECC Championships at the College of Staten Island on Nov. 22 and 23.
