Box Score STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The College of Staten Island closed the first half on a 29-15 run en route to an 86-61 win over the visiting Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team in an East Coast Conference game on Wednesday night.
Roberts took a 13-11 lead on a free throw by Jermaine Taggart II with 12:30 to play in the first half before the Dolphins scored 13 points in the next 3:16 to take control of the game.
Senior guard Malik Brooks scored 15 points to lead the Redhawks (10-11, 7-6 ECC).
Sophomore Ryan Garwood scored 11 points and Ryan Hudson added 10.
Junior Isaiah Elmore, the ECC Defensive Player of the Week the past two weeks, contributed 8 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocked shots.
The Redhawks return home to the Voller Athletic Center to host the University of the District of Columbia in an ECC game at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
