ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan University pole vaulter Brynn King has been named the East Coast Conference Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this spring.
King, a fifth-year student from The Woodlands, Texas, broke a 13-year-old meet record while winning the women's pole vault at the 101^st Kansas Relays in Lawrence, Kan., on Friday. She also was named ECC Women't Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week on April 1.
King cleared 4.51 meters (14-feet, 9½-inches) to win the event in a field that included several Division I vaulters.
King, the NCAA Division II women's indoor pole vault champion, owns both the Division II indoor (4.65 meters) and outdoor (4.68 meters) records.
