ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's cross country team, which has won nine consecutive East Coast Championships, is ranked first in the 2024 ECC Preseason Coaches' Poll that was released this afternoon.

Roberts received six of the eight first-place votes and finished with 62 points. Daemen received the other two first-place votes and ranks second with 56 points.D'Youville holds down the third spot with 50 points.

"Nothing is a given in cross country," Roberts' Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Andrew Dorr said. "We are planning to work hard, stay healthy and see what the season brings."

Roberts returns reigning ECC Runner of the Year Acacia Barber and ECC first-team selections Rachel Horner-Richardson and Kylee Odell from last year's squad. Barber, Horner-Richardson and Odell finished 1-2-3 at the ECC championships last fall.

Roberts opens its season on Sept. 14 at the Daemen Alumni Invitational.
