GREENVILLE, SC – Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Soccer Head Coach Scott Reber has been named the winner of the Frank Jewell Award for the 2024 season. The announcement was made Thursday afternoon by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) national office.
The award is presented annually to a soccer coach who has displayed Christian character and integrity within the NCCAA. The award is presented by the National Intercollegiate Soccer Official's Association (NISOA) in memory of Frank Jewell, NISOA liaison with the NCCAA from 1983-2010. The award winner is selected by the NCCAA Executive Director and a representative from NISOA.
Reber led the Redhawks to a 9-7-3 overall record and earned a trip to the NCCAA National Tournament in Florida as the No. 4 seed. Roberts played a pair of games in the tournament with a tie in both contests and missed the semifinal round of the tournament based on tie-breaker criteria.
The 10-year head coach and former player at Roberts Wesleyan has recorded 72 career wins and led the Redhawks to a winning record in five of the last six seasons and three consecutive trips to the NCCAA National Tournament in Florida.
