ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's soccer team welcomes seven new players for the 2025 fall season.
The newcomers include a junior transfer student, five first-year players and a sophomore who spent last season on the Redhawks' development team.
"The thing that I like the most about this group of incoming players is how well that they are blending in with the returning players," Roberts coach
Scott Reber said. "They are really starting to jell."
Roberts opens its season on Sept. 4 at Malone University.

Why I chose Roberts: "I chose Roberts Wesleyan as my university because it offers a perfect balance between strong academics and a competitive athletic program. Further, as an international student, I was looking for a welcoming community that values both education and sports, and according to a former student I met, Roberts stood out for its supportive environment, excellent faculty, and commitment to student-athletes."

Why I chose Roberts: "I chose Roberts Wesleyan because it's close to home and gives me the chance to start a new chapter in a new country, something I've dreamed of for a long time. Playing soccer at the university level has always been one of my biggest goals. Where I live in Canada, there aren't many opportunities to play competitive soccer after high school, so I'm excited to take this path. I chose Roberts because I believe it's a place where I can grow both on the field and in the classroom, and I feel confident I'll be supported in both areas."

Why I chose Roberts: "I have grown up with Roberts always being close by. I wanted to stay close to home and Roberts plays at a very high level. I enjoyed meeting the team and the coaching staff is amazing."
Position: Forward

College: Onondaga Community College
Major: Communications
Before Roberts: Totaled 20 goals and registered 11 assists in two seasons at Onondaga Community College, where he earned first-team All-Conference and second-team All-Region in 2024. Scored 12 goals, including four game-winners, and added five assists during his sophomore season for the Lasers. Tallied tying goal in final minute of 2-2 draw with national champion Mohawk Valley.
Why I chose Roberts: "I chose Roberts because of the ambition of the soccer program. Coach told me in our first call that he doesn't want to be a good program, but a great one, and that stuck with me during my recruiting process."

Why I chose Roberts: "I chose Roberts Wesleyan to continue my athletic and academic journey because I saw a school that had great values and beliefs that I'm strongly rooted in. I saw a great athletic program that isn't just a program, it's a family. A family from different parts of the world, and for me, diversity has always been something that I love, coming from having a mom from Colombia. Roberts has everything I was looking for with the academics, the athletics and the morals of the university."

High school: Health Professions and Human Services
Major: Sports Management
