ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Three members of the Roberts Wesleyan University women's soccer team have earned All-Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches.
Senior
Cami Brescia was selected Second-Team All-East Region while senior midfielder
Kara Choate and sophomore forward
Mackenzie Hagen received Third-Team All-East honors.
Brescia, who was named a Second-Team Division I All-American by the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), scored two goals and led the Redhawks with seven assists. She was a First-Team All-Midwest Region choice by the NCCAA and Second-Team All-East Coast Conference (ECC) selection.
Choate, who was also a Second-Team NCCAA All-American, finished the season with five goals and three assists. A Second-Team All-ECC choice, she was named First-Team All-Region and a Scholar-Athlete by the NCCAA. She was also honored as an Academic All-District selection by the College Sports Communicators.
Hagen, who scored seven goals and collected four assists, was a First-Team Division I All-American selection and First-Team All-Midwest Region choice by the NCCAA. She was also a Second-Team All-ECC pick.
Roberts (11-3-5) won the ECC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II Tournament for the third time in program history. The Redhawks closed the season on an 11-match unbeaten streak.
