Brynn King Breaks Youngstown State Facility Record In Pole Vault

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO – Roberts Wesleyan University graduate student Brynn King set a facility record while winning the women's pole vault at the Youngstown State University Last Chance Invitational on Friday.

King, the reigning NCAA Division II national champion, cleared a season-best 4.60 meters (15-feet, 1-inch) to break the Watson and Tressel Training Site record of 4.31m (14-1¾) set on Jan. 18, 2019. King is the only pole vaulter in NCAA DII women's history to clear 15 feet.

Roberts sophomore Sarah Ferguson finished third at 4.03m (13-2½), freshman Karis Kraf was fifth at 3.87m (12-8¼) and freshman Alexandrea Robertson was ninth at 3.62m (11-10½).

The Redhawks are scheduled to compete in the East Coast Conference Championships on Sunday.
