Ferguson and Mullen Tabbed by the ECC with Weekly Awards

COLONIA, NJ – Sophomore Sarah Ferguson hit a personal best mark over the weekend for the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's track and Field team and was honored by the East Coasty Conference (ECC) with the weekly Field Athlete of the Week Award. Fellow sophomore Jadyn Mullen was also recognized with a spot on the ECC Weekly Honor Roll.

Ferguson moved up to seventh nationally and second in the East Region with a first-place finish and personal best jump at the St. John Fisher Invitational over the weekend. Ferguson cleared the 4.18-meter (13' 8 ½") bar to place first overall and move up in the rankings.

Mullen had three great performances on the track over the weekend at the Fisher meet. She won the 100-meter hurdles with her finals time of 14.92. The time was a personal best and ranks fifth in the ECC. She also hit personal best times in the 200- and 800-meter races. In the 200, she finished 13th overall out of 62 runners with a time of 26.60 and was third (out of 87 runners) in the 800 with a new personal best time of 2:16.77 which ranks fourth in the conference standings.

Roberts is set to host the ECC Outdoor Track and Field Championship Meet Thursday at Roberts Stadium.
