Freshman Thomas McConnelee broke one of his own records and added a second record to his outdoor total while sophomore Jadyn Mullen traveled to Florida to set the school record in the 400-meter hurdles for the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's and Women's Track and Field teams this weekend.
Mullen competed at the Embry-Riddle meet in Florida and placed fourth overall in the 400-meter hurdles race with a school-record time of 1:02.43. The time is also the top East Coast Conference (ECC) time in the event this season.
McConnelee added to his record total as he established a new school record in the Hammer Throw Friday night at the Geneseo Invitational as he posted a toss of 55.96 meters (183' 7") and then improved his own school record in the Discus Throw Saturday with a toss of 56.16 meters (184' 3").
Also in Geneseo, Graduate student Kylee Odell finished second and clocked the second best 800 time in school history with her personal best time of 2:14.10. Junior Rachel Horner-Richardson was third overall in the 1500-meter race with a time of 4:48.44.
In the Pole Vault, freshman Alexandrea Robertson was second and fellow freshman Sarah Ouelette was third as Robertson cleared 3.65 meters (11' 11 3/4") and Ouelette finished at 3.50 meters (11' 5 3/4").
Senior Jackson Doran had a pair of good times as he won the 1500-meter race with a time of 3:58.82 and later raced to a seventh-place finish in the 800 with a time of 1:56.20.
Graduate student Owen White was second in the 1500 with a time of 3:59.23.
In the Elite Pole Vault, sophomore Jack Sauder finished fourth at 4.60 meters (15' 1") and fellow sophomore Braden Shaw tied for fifth at the same height.
Junior Ethan LaClair posted his personal best effort in the Javelin Throw as he placed seventh with a throw of 43.86 meters (143' 11").
The Redhawks are scheduled to compete at the Brockport Multi Meet next weekend on April 11th and 12th.
