COLONIA, NJ – A total of four players from the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Lacrosse team earned East Coast Conference (ECC) Weekly Honors after a convincing 21-5 road win over the University of Bridgeport over the weekend.
Seniors Emma Blumenstock and Annie Mulhall along with juniors Ella Dossier and Sophia Cassata were each named to the ECC Weekly Honor Roll for their performance in the Bridgeport game.
Blumenstock recorded season-highs with six goals, eight assists and 14 points as she led the high-powered Roberts. She currently leads the ECC in Assists and Points and is third in Goals per game.
Mulhall continued her hot scoring streak with six goals in the convincing 21-5. She now has 19 goals in the last three games. and ranks fourth in goal scoring in the ECC.
Dossier eclipsed the 100-career assists plateau Sunday with a career-high seven assists. She currently ranks second in the ECC in assists behind Blumenstock.
Cassata moved into the starting lineup in late March and has been a solid defensive player for the Redhawks with four straight starts. She collected career-highs Sunday with four caused turnovers and three ground balls. The defense held Bridgeport to just five goals after averaging nearly 13 goals a game coming into the contest.
Roberts returns to ECC play Saturday and will host the University of the District of Columbia for Senior Day on the Redhawks Turf Field.
