King, McConnelee and McCown Earn ECC Awards

COLONIA, NJ – Graduate student Brynn King, freshman Thomas McConnelee and Head Coach Mark McCown were each honored by the East Coast Conference (ECC) with post season awards Friday as the conference announced the results of the voting for the Outdoor Track and Field Athletes and Coaches of the Year.

King was the unanimous winner of the Female Athlete of the Year while McConnelee was named one of the Male Athletes of the Year and McCown was named the Men's Track and Field Coach of the Year.

King had another record-breaking season as she vaulted to the NCAA Record for pole vault when she cleared the 4.75-meter (15' 7") bar at the Texas Relays. The new record height secured her spot at the NCAA Championships as she looks for her fourth national championship after winning the indoor title twice and is the defending champion of the outdoor championships.

McConnelee set and broke all of the Roberts Wesleyan school records in the throwing events as he continued to shine in the conference, regional and national standings. He capped the outdoor season with an All-American honor in the Hammer Throw at the NCAA Championships.

McCown led the Roberts men to a second consecutive men's title at the ECC Outdoor Championships as the Redhawks scored a dominating 217 points to finish 84 points ahead of second-place St. Thomas Aquinas at the 2025 championships.
