GREENWOOD, IN – National Champion Brynn King and All-American Sarah Ferguson led a group of five student-athletes from the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Track and Field and Cross Country teams to Academic All-District honors from the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization.
King and Ferguson were joined by indoor track and field NCAA qualifier Jadyn Mullen as well as graduate student Moriah Mills and senior Acacia Barber.
The requirements for Academic All-District honors are at least a sophomore academically and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average as well as have considerable contribution to the team success for the most recent season. The organization honors several thousand student-athletes each year from each NCAA Division and the NAIA as honorees are nominated by the members of the organization previously known as CoSIDA.
King won her fourth consecutive National Championship at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the pole vault competition and was joined on the podium at both the indoor and outdoor championships by Ferguson who earned a pair of All-American awards. Mullen was a qualifier for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in the Pentathlon while Mills was an ECC Champion in a pair of throwing events and Barber competed on the ECC Champion Cross Country team and ECC Champion Indoor Championships teams.
