CLINTON, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's cross country team placed seven runners in the top 23 and finished first in a field of eight teams at the Hamilton College Short Course Invitational on Saturday.
The Redhawks finished with 58 points while second-place Hamilton had 66.
Senior
Rachel Horner-Richardson led the way for Roberts, finishing first in the field of 108 runners, covering the 4K course on the Hamilton College Golf Course in 14:32.4.
Sophomore
Paige Reeser placed sixth in 14:54.0 and classmate
Evelyn Schmit was 10
th in 15:07.4.
Freshman
Emma Lipa led four Redhawks in spots 20-23, crossing the finish line in 15:26.7. Freshman
Michaela Goettel was 21
st (15:28.1), sophomore
Kennedy Mitchell was 22
nd (15:28.5) and senior
Lydia Roselund was 23
rd.
The Redhawks return to action on Sept. 27 for the Harry F. Anderson Invitational on Homecoming Weekend.
